The Website Platforms We Work With

WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, ClubRunner, ChamberMaster and a dozen more. The choices can be daunting, so let us help you sort them out.

Your website already exists. Maybe someone built it on Wix years ago. Maybe your Rotary club runs on ClubRunner, or your Chamber’s site lives inside ChamberMaster. Maybe nobody remembers the Squarespace password.

That’s fine. You don’t have to start over to get help.

We work with what you have

We maintain, update and convert websites on most popular platforms, including:

  • WordPress and WooCommerce
  • Wix
  • Squarespace
  • Weebly
  • Shopify
  • GoDaddy Website Builder
  • Joomla and Drupal
  • ClubRunner and DacDB, the platforms many Rotary clubs use
  • ChamberMaster, the membership platform behind many Chamber of Commerce websites

If yours isn’t on the list, ask. Most website platforms work in similar ways.

On any of them, we can update your content and photos, add event pages, fix what’s broken, clean up your navigation, improve your SEO and accessibility, and keep things current. For the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce, we’ve maintained and updated its ChamberMaster website and the special event pages that go with it.

Why we usually recommend WordPress for new websites

When we build a new site from scratch, we usually build it in WordPress. Here’s why.

  • You own it. A WordPress site is yours: the files, the content and the domain. You can move it to another host or another developer any time. On a closed platform, your site lives on someone else’s system, on their terms.
  • No surprise price hikes or shutdowns. WordPress is free, open-source software. Closed platforms can raise prices, drop features or change the rules, and you can’t take your site with you when they do. We offer our own Managed Hosting for WordPress, but you can always host your site elsewhere on any managed or unmanaged hosting platform. We just think we’re the best at it for the price.
  • It grows with you. Need a store, a booking form, a member area or a custom feature? WordPress has a plugin for nearly everything, and when it doesn’t, we can write the code ourselves.
  • Full control over SEO. Page titles, descriptions, redirects, structured data and site speed are all in your hands, not limited to what a platform allows.
  • Real online stores, without a cut of every sale. Some hosted platforms take a percentage of each sale on certain plans, on top of what the payment processor charges. A couple of percent sounds small, but it adds up: on $200,000 a year in online sales, 2% is $4,000 a year, every year. Marketplaces like Etsy, Amazon, eBay and Poshmark take more, often 10% to 20% of a sale once all their fees are counted. WooCommerce turns a WordPress site into a full store with no platform percentage. You pay the payment processor’s fees and that’s it.
  • Easy to edit. We build pages you can update yourself, with a visual editor, without touching code.
  • It isn’t going anywhere. WordPress runs a huge share of the web (in 2026, 40–43% of all websites globally). Help, developers and plugins will be around, around the world, for a long time.

To be fair, WordPress has one real downside: it needs regular care. Software, themes and plugins need updates and security checks, or the site gets slow and vulnerable. This is true of any platform, you just pay for these services through subscription fees on providers like Squarespace and Wix and Weebly. Our own website maintenance and Managed Hosting covers this aspect.

When to stay where you are

WordPress isn’t always the answer.

  • Membership platforms do a job. ClubRunner, DacDB and ChamberMaster connect your website to your member database, dues, directories and event registration. Replacing that rarely makes sense. We make the website side look and work better instead. We’ve also built hybrid sites, like ctlanet.org for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, that combine a WordPress public-facing site with a secondary membership-based internal platform to have the best of both worlds.
  • A simple site you update yourself. If a small Wix or Squarespace site does what you need and you’re comfortable editing it, keep it. We’ll tune it up, fix the SEO basics and help when you get stuck.

We’ll tell you honestly which way makes sense, even if the answer is “keep what you have, you don’t need to pay us to build you a new website.”

Moving to WordPress

When it’s time to move, we handle the whole conversion:

  • Content and images come over with their structure intact.
  • Every old page address gets a redirect to its new home, so the search rankings you’ve earned come with you. We’ve seen so many organizations and even competing agencies rebuild a website to get more business and sabotage themselves by not managing old links.
  • Forms, menus and contact details are rebuilt and tested.
  • SEO settings like page titles and descriptions are carried over and often improved.
  • Online stores move over with products, variations and customers. See e-commerce for the details.

Sometimes there isn’t much to convert. We recently rebuilt a website when the original was gone, and the only copy left anywhere was the one saved by the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. We recovered the text and images from that archive and built a fresh WordPress site from it, one the owner can keep up to date without starting from scratch ever again. If your old site has disappeared, don’t assume it’s lost. We can often work magic.

Questions people ask

Yes. We can update content and photos, fix what’s broken, clean up navigation and improve the SEO right where your site lives. Moving is only worth it when the platform is holding you back.

Not quite. WordPress is free software you install on your own hosting, and that’s what we build on. WordPress.com is a hosted service built on the same software, and its lower-priced plans limit which plugins and themes you can install.

Not when it’s done carefully. Every old page address gets a redirect to its new home, and page titles and descriptions come across. There can be a short settling-in period while Google finds the new pages.

Yes. We build pages you can update with a visual editor, and we’ll show you how. When you’d rather not, our website maintenance covers it.

Usually not. Those platforms run your member database, dues and directories, and replacing them rarely makes sense. We make the website side look and work better instead.

It happens a lot. We can usually help you get back in through the platform’s account recovery. If the old site is gone entirely, we may still be able to rebuild it from an archived copy.
