What Is EEAT and Why Does It Matter So Much to Google?
EEAT boils down to one question: can people trust your business online? This plain-language explainer covers what Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness
Conifer is just down the road from our Evergreen home base, and it’s where we often begin the day. More than one marketing plan has been sketched out over breakfast in Conifer. We’ve even recorded Tuesday Tip videos from Bean N Bakery Bistro.
We also host and operate Pinecam.com, the community site that people along 285 have read for years.
We know the Conifer business community well. We’re members of the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce, and Mindy has served on its board. We’ve maintained and updated the Chamber’s ChamberMaster website and the special event pages that go with it. We’ve presented at its breakfast meetings, and we’ve taught hands-on marketing classes for fellow members, from social media basics to how to use AI in your business.
Look along 285 and you’ll see plenty of storefronts. A lot of Conifer’s businesses, though, run from a home office or a truck: contractors, landscapers, consultants, therapists, trades of every kind. We built the website for All Things Vertical, a Conifer tree service that works all along the 285 corridor, and we ran social media and social media advertising for Spectrum Electric, a Conifer electrician that installs and services backup generators. When a storm is coming, their posts remind neighbors to check their generators before the power goes out. Customers find businesses like these almost entirely online, usually by searching for a service “near me” and calling one of the first three names on the map.
For those businesses, the Google Business Profile does the job a storefront would. It’s where people see your service area, your hours, your photos and your reviews. It needs to be right.
If you live up here, you’ve almost certainly eaten at, picked up coffee from or celebrated at a business we’ve worked with. We’ve built websites, run social media and handled marketing for numerous restaurants and hospitality businesses in Conifer and Aspen Park. We built and host the website for Brooks Place Tavern in Aspen Park, and we’ve worked with the shops next door to places like it, like Aspen Park Framing. Just up 285, we’ve created social media for Coffee Bean N Bakery in Pine Junction.
Some of that work goes well beyond a menu and a map. For Blizzard Mountain Pinball, a Conifer pinball arcade (now closed), we built a complex e-commerce and reservation booking system on WooCommerce, along with social media.
Restaurants live and die by the details: hours that are right on a holiday, a menu people can read on a phone, photos that make someone hungry and reviews that sound like real neighbors. That’s daily work for us. See more on our restaurant marketing page.
And it’s not all B2C (business to consumer) relationships. There are many professional services and technology companies here, run out of small offices and home offices: electronics manufacturing, architects, engineers, tax and accounting professionals. Electronics, CAD and software companies with customers around the world call Conifer home, along with plenty of smaller firms you’ve never noticed driving by. These are people who want to work and live in a beautiful mountain community. They don’t need an expensive downtown Denver address. They keep their operations close to home and efficient, sometimes with an office that’s only occupied a few days a week. Their website and digital presence need to be large to make up for a small physical footprint. We built the website for Optive Commercial Capital, a Conifer commercial finance firm that works with businesses well beyond the mountains.
That shapes how we market them:
Our ties here go beyond business. We were volunteer lead mentors for the Blitz Robotics Team at Conifer High School, and we’ve sponsored the team’s floats in the Conifer Christmas Parade. We also volunteered to help build the bleachers at Conifer High School. This is our community too, and when it needs a hand, we’re glad to give one.
Google Business Profile. Set up as a service-area business, with the towns you really serve and without a home address on display.
Reputation & Review Management. A simple way to ask happy customers for reviews, and a plan for answering the rare unhappy one.
Website Design & Maintenance. A site that looks as professional as your work and makes it easy to call.
Social Media & LinkedIn. Neighbors here trade recommendations in local Facebook groups. We’ll help you be part of that conversation without sounding like an ad. For professional and tech firms, an active LinkedIn company page.
Content Writing. Articles and pages built on your team’s expertise, so your knowledge shows up in search.
More reviews on our Testimonials page and on Google.
Call us at 720-526-3636 or send a note through our contact form. We’ll meet you for breakfast in Conifer and talk through what you need. The first consultation is free.
