Rotary and Our Business
Mindy Hanson, founder of Wild Iris Marketing, was president of the Rotary Club of Evergreen when she wrote this 2024
We live here. Wild Iris Marketing is based in Evergreen, and most of our first meetings happen over coffee in downtown Evergreen, breakfast in Conifer, or at whatever table is closest to your shop. We drive 285 and I-70 like you do, and we’d rather sit across from you than send another email.
Being local changes the marketing. We know the Chambers of Commerce, the Rotary clubs and the events that fill a town for a weekend. We also know the stretches when things go quiet. When the weather turns, we know which of our clients just got busier and which ones need to get the word out. Small-town word of mouth still works up here. These days it just happens on Facebook as often as it happens in line at the post office.
Here’s where you’ll find us.
Home base. Mindy is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Evergreen (2024–2025), which meets Friday mornings at the Center for the Arts Evergreen. The welcome sign you pass coming into town is a Rotary project. We designed the official logo for Evergreen’s 150th anniversary with the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce, and we’ve presented at the Chamber’s breakfast meeting. If you’d like to meet, coffee in downtown Evergreen or a walk by the lake works for us.
A short drive across the hill for us. We’ve presented at Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce breakfasts and taught marketing classes for its members. You can often find us at Bounties Brewhaus or The Perk but we are always willing to meet at your favorite java shop. Breakfast in Conifer is one of our favorite ways to start a planning session.
Up 285 through Platte Canyon. Bailey businesses depend on neighbors, weekend visitors and people passing through on the way to the mountains, and each of those groups finds you a different way. We’ll help you show up for all three. A cup of great coffee awaits at Off the Rails.
Morrison, Conifer, Pine and Bailey share a highway, a customer base and, often, the same weather report. If you serve more than one of these towns, this page covers the whole stretch. Years ago we even recorded one of our Tuesday Tip videos from Bean N Bakery Bistro in Pine Junction.
Just off I-70 between the foothills and Denver, and an easy halfway point to meet. Genesee has a lot of professional and home-based businesses, and they tend to need a website and a Google Business Profile that work as hard as the owner does.
At the bottom of the hill, next door to Red Rocks. Morrison businesses serve locals and a steady stream of visitors from all over the metro, so being easy to find online on a concert night brings in as many customers as the sign out front.
Downtown Golden, Clear Creek and the School of Mines give Golden businesses a mix of students, tourists and longtime residents. We’ve presented to the West Metro Chamber of Commerce, which covers Golden, and we’re glad to meet on Washington Avenue or at Vellichor Coffee Roasters.
The biggest city in the west metro and a short drive down the hill for us. From Belmar to the neighborhood shops, Lakewood businesses compete with a lot of other businesses for the same searches. That’s where real keyword data earns its keep.
From Olde Town Arvada to the Wheat Ridge business corridors, these are busy, established communities where a clear website and good reviews make the difference between getting the call and getting skipped. Both are part of the West Metro Chamber area.
Historic Main Street and a big base of small businesses and professional offices. We’ll meet you downtown and look at what your customers see when they search for what you do.
Right where the foothills meet the south metro, an easy drive for us down C-470. These communities are full of professional practices and family-run businesses that rely heavily on local search and word of mouth.
Down the hill, and we’re in town for meetings often. One of our favorite blog posts, the Venti Digital Marketing Menu, came out of a conversation at a Denver coffee shop. We work with Denver small businesses the same way we work with our mountain clients: in person, with a plan built for you.
We also work with clients across Colorado, around the country and overseas, by phone and video call. The services are the same. You’ll just need to supply your own coffee.
Websites, SEO, Google Business Profiles, social media, newsletters, branding and more. See all of our services, or look at the industries we know best.
Tell us where you’d like to meet. Call us at 720-526-3636 or send a note through our contact form, and we’ll meet you for coffee in Evergreen, breakfast in Conifer, lunch in Lakewood or Golden or for an afternoon pick-me-up in Arvada or Littleton. Or we are happy to connect somewhere closer to you, or on Zoom. The first consultation is free.
