We are one week into February, so it is time for our annual #ShareTheLove campaign. This is when we encourage you to support businesses you appreciate with a review on their Google My Business, Yelp, Facebook, or other online platforms.
Did you know online reviews are more important right now than ever before?
- Google and other search engine algorithms actually take into account your reviews when your search placement is being calculated. While it is not the only contributing factor, it is absolutely an important one.
- The vast majority of potential clients do a search to read reviews prior to contacting a business. If you have positive reviews (or even negative reviews with a professional and well-thought-out reply), potential clients are much more likely to contact you.
- Recent studies show that nearly half of all respondents say they trust online reviews as much as they do a personal recommendation!
I encourage you to take just a moment in the month of February and leave a positive review for a business you appreciate. Tell the world why you love your doctor, local coffee shop, realtor, mechanic or even your digital marketing agency.
